The Sales Representative is responsible for the prospecting and development of new and existing customer accounts. This individual works with internal departments, including, but not limited to, marketing, estimating and sales (customer) service to ensure a favorable customer experience. This individual will be required to travel extensively to customer sites.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell and promote company products, which includes printed packaging, labels, and other products
  • Research leads/prospects to develop target list for assigned territory
  • Maintain accurate files and records related to sales accounts, including expense documentation, annual action plan for each account, revenue forecasts, prospect lists, weekly call lists, and daily activity reports
  • Meet with, and maintain relationships, with existing customers to ensure continued business
  • Work with marketing team, specifically for materials and samples, and attend trade shows as required or when deemed beneficial
  • Effectively work with different departments, ex. sales (customer) service, estimating, marketing, production, regarding various customer matters, as needed
  • Participate in sales meetings and other training programs
  • Submit timely expense reports

General Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or business preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of related sales experience, preferably in the label or printed product field
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of professions and personalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to effectively read, write and speak English
  • Proficient using standard business systems, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Self motivated, creative, innovative, persistent and flexible
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to decipher colors a plus
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel/fly without issue
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing
